      <image:caption>Alexandra Garita serves as executive director of Prospera International Network of Women’s Funds, which is committed to resourcing women, girls, and trans people’s organizations, activists, movements, and their communities around the world. Alex is a feminist activist committed to advancing women’s and LBT persons’ human’s rights. She has protested, written, and advocated for bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights, climate justice and gender equality throughout her life. At Prospera, she is focused on influencing funding flows to become more democratic and just. Prior to joining Prospera, Alex served in senior leadership in various Mexican feminist organizations. She was also the founder and first executive coordinator of Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Justice (RESURJ) for five years. Prior, Alex worked as senior program officer, International Policy, with the International Women’s Health Coalition and led the international advocacy program at IPPF/Western Hemisphere Region. Alex also formed part of Decidir (Choice: Youth Coalition for Sexual Citizenship) where she advocated for young people’s rights to safe and legal abortion in Mexico City prior to the liberalization of the law. Alex has also worked at the Mexican Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and with the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Reproductive Health Matters and holds a B.A. in international relations from Boston University and an M.A. in the theory and practice of human rights from Essex University.</image:caption>

Gloria oversees The VF Foundation’s strategic vision to advance the company’s philanthropic commitment to environmental justice, conservation, and education and workforce development, with an inclusion, equity, and diversity lens for the betterment of people and planet. Active in the community, Gloria is board chair of the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado. She also serves on VF’s Council to Advance Racial Equity (CARE), is a board member of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and the Downtown Denver Partnership, and sits on the advisory board of the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs. Gloria is a 2019 McKinsey Academy CiviCO Fellow. She was honored with the Latinas First Foundation’s Trailblazer Award (2019), Denver Business Journal’s Outstanding Woman in Business Award (2018), and recognized by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Colorado and Denver Metro Chamber Champion (2018). She also received the Advocate of the Year Award from MillerCoors Women’s Employee Resource Group (2017) and was recognized as a Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever in 2012 by the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility. She also is an American Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (2012). In 2009, Gloria received the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professional of the Year Award and was named one of “Forty Under Forty” by the Denver Business Journal. She is also a graduate of Leadership Denver (2009).       <image:caption>Kalyani Subramanyam is the CEO at the Maitrayana Charity Foundation. With a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management. She has 25 years of experience of working on issues of HIV and Sexuality. Prior to her work in Maitrayana, Kalyani has worked 18 years at The Naz Foundation (India) Trust. As a strong advocate for women’s rights, she has been responsible for the development of the ‘Young People’s Initiative’: A Women’s Empowerment initiative, that uses sport, life skills education and leadership development to empower adolescent girls and young women to access their rights and achieve their potential. The YPI has reached out to more than 1,30,000 girls across the country. In 2017, Kalyani was honored with the Goal Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 for her commitment as a pioneer to providing safe spaces for girls to play and participate in life skills education. In her role at Maitrayana, Kalyani focusses on Women’s Empowerment by leveraging the power of sport to create ecosystems that advance gender equality. Having worked with several grassroot organizations, she has built tremendous experience of program design, implementation, strategy development for scale and ensuring high-quality interventions. Kalyani is a champion of Child Protection &amp; Safeguarding and serves as a member of UNICEF’s International Safeguarding Children in Sport Advisory Board. Her experience and understanding of women’s empowerment have enabled her to serve as the NGO representative on Standard Chartered Bank and its subsidiaries Internal Committee (IC) for the POSH policy. As the Director of Gender and Environment at Global Greengrants Fund, she launched the Gender and Environment program and has helped direct more than $25 million in small grants to grassroots, gender-just climate action throughout the Global South. Prior to joining WFA, Anisha worked with a human rights funder in India called the Dalit Foundation. Anisha has been part of several grant-making advisories. David partnered on worker health projects and business case research with organizations like Business for Social Responsibility, Levi Strauss &amp; Co., Bayer Pharmaceuticals, the Better Work program and the UN Foundation. Prior to the merger, Marissa served as chief executive officer of WWS. Marissa was a 2014 Fellow at Harvard’s Advanced Leadership Initiative and a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center, affiliated with the Center’s Global Women’s Leadership Initiative. She is on the board of directors of Root Capital and the Canadian Equality Fund, and was formerly on the board of the Global Fund for Women. Marissa is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and speaks and writes regularly on issues of women’s empowerment and rights.       <image:caption>Kunthea Chan brings many years of experience as a feminist popular educator and regional lead in methodology, design, and strategy. In her work, she uses an intersectional approach to support women's leadership and organizing strategies in trade unions and garment workers, LBT groups, indigenous and rural women, and young feminists.  Her journey as an activist began in 2008. Inspired by this defining moment, along with one of her colleagues, Kunthea founded the Cambodia Young Women Empowerment Network (CYWEN), a group aimed at strengthening the capacity of young women to demand their rights. Previously, she worked as Programme Co-ordinator in The Committee to Promote Women in Politics (CPWP); and as a trainer in SILAKA to provide training on advocacy skills, gender, and non-violence action to the local NGOs in Cambodia and developing training manuals as needed. Since 2006, she has coordinated seven organizations in planning tasks and implementing activities that promote the participation of women in public decision-making positions.  Kunthea is passionately committed to social justice work, especially supporting women and LBT communities, building and creating opportunities for young to exercise their women's voices and leadership. In 2018, Kunthea co-authored a book, "Diving Deep, Going Far" -- a non-fiction novel based on the remarkable lives of twenty-five young Cambodian women creating change for the future of their country. In her role, Fernanda creates strategic collaborations to equip women garment workers in Bangladesh and prepare them for a future where the textile industry is defined by automation and digitalization. The aim is to enable them to take up new job opportunities and safeguard their livelihoods. Before joining the H&amp;M Foundation, Fernanda was Head of Operations at Gapminder, having also led the development of the revolutionary educational tool called dollarstreet.org. She has about 10 years of experience implementing development projects focused on youth empowerment and sustainability in Brazil, India, Nepal and Sweden. Fernanda holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from Lund University. Her thesis and posterior work were in the field of demography. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. In addition to her professional work, Fernanda has also been a professional ballerina for many years. She has also served on the board of ABC Active Contributions to People and the Environment. Tina is a firm believer in the power of local, women-led organizations.  Before joining Amazon, she spent over a decade as the Executive Director of READ Global (Rural Education and Development), an international nonprofit organization that partners with rural communities in Bhutan, India and Nepal to drive rural prosperity.  READ works through community-owned and managed libraries that serve as a platform for a holistic suite of programs that help advance gender equality.  During her time as executive director, READ Global transitioned to a decentralized model with READ country offices becoming independent entities.   Prior to READ Global, Tina served as the Deputy Director of Social Venture Network (now American Sustainable Business Council).  She started her career as a corporate litigator in Chicago and left the practice of law to start an attorney recruiting business.  She was involved as an early chapter leader for Room to Read and focused this volunteer work on Room to Read’s girls scholarship program. Laila is from Syria, and has extensive experience spans across women’s rights, resource distribution, and effective governance. She has served in various advisory and governance roles, including as a Trustee of the Feminist Review Trust since 2019. Laila holds a law degree from Damascus University and an LLM in Human Rights, Conflict, and Justice from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
